I’m not sure what other’s intentions are when they speak about Tumblr Sheikhs and their dependency on Google but me, myself? I don’t say it to attack brothers and sisters spreading knowledge, you know why? Because true knowledge can’t be copy and pasted, it is studied for years upon years and comes with a lot of reading, questions and practice. So I don’t really care what anyone says about the post I made honestly … because no one on this site has had the years of study that makes them knowledgeable .. they are like parrots, repeating and rephrasing things again and again. I like the Muslims here on Tumblr and I try to get along with each and everyone of them but my patience is very thin for certain things. Intolerance, prejudice, back biting, assumptions, and just plain idiocy are just a few. So yeah, my post was not an indirect post for people spreading knowledge, it was a very direct and obvious post showing how I feel about people that think Googling something makes them knowledgeable.

And if I had to pick one word to describe Islam it would be Love. Because I think that if you love Allah, you will follow Him. If you love His prophet, you will follow Him. If you love His religion, you will follow it. And if He loves you, He will always take care of you and be there for you. So many people focus on the punishments and fear when love is a stronger emotion that connects you to your Creator in a way that fear never can. My fear for God stems from my love for Him, I fear doing wrong because I don’t want to disobey someone (is this a correct term to use in regards to Allah? I couldn’t think of another way to put it) that I love so much.

This is why I am friends with this girl.

“I learned all I needed to know about religious intolerance from the Holocaust when they were burning children up in ovens because they were Jewish.
And from Bosnia where they murdered and exiled thousands of Muslims.
And from Palestine and Israel where they go back and forth and have been going back in forth for so many years just adding more and more death and distress in that area because of religious & ethnic differences.
And in South Africa where hundreds of people are killed each year because they are accused of being Witches or practicing black magic.
And in Uganda where about 2,000 children are abducted, raped or enslaved each year by Christian rebels that want a Christian Theocracy in the land.
Seriously, just shut up. Spreading hate doesn’t make you patriotic or anything, it just makes you look stupid.”
Yes yes yes!
Someone just asked me to make this rebloggable but you did it for me :) thanks.

Sometimes I think Muslim women have some of the largest image issues. Don’t you all know you are extremely beautiful and nothing anyone ever says can change that?

idreamofmansaf:

beautifulqalb:

Don’t ever forget that your beauty isn’t just superficial but also the spiritual beauty that radiates from within you and that is a light that can never be put out so long as you truly believe.

I know so many Muslim women that are extremely self conscious because of things people have said about their hijab or that they don’t have their arms out, etc. Those people aren’t who determine whether you are beautiful or not, it is up to you. What we see when we look in the mirror is a reflection of what we think about ourselves internally. If you think you are beautiful, you see someone beautiful in the mirror. If you think that others define you, you see their definitions staring back through the mirror. True beauty is when you are aware that you are beautiful but also aware of the fact that you don’t have to flaunt it all in order for others to notice it.

do they ever do…

… “FBI Community Outreach” programs at churches or synagogues?

or just the masajid?

It hurts my head that this is even a question that has to be posed. The FBI are constantly harassing Muslims when they are just trying to get closer to Allah, astaghfitullah. I wish they didn’t make it so difficult for us all. Alhamdulilah we haven’t had this in the past few years but that it is still going on is just … ughhhh.
